All events held virtually will be designated with a (V) after the event name.

Any events scheduled and subsequently canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will simply state CANCELED or POSTPONED after the event name.



Large count of backyard birds. 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Point Au Roche State Park. The Great Backyard Bird Count is a citizen science project sponsored annually by the National Audubon Society. Join a park naturalist for a short walk in search of birds in the park. The sightings and data we collect will be submitted to the Great Backyard Bird Count for use by real scientists researching bird populations! Please note that you do not have to be an experienced birder to participate! The 9 a.m. outing will be for adults only and at 10 a.m. all ages are welcome!


Benefit dinner. 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. St. Augustine Parish Center in Peru. All proceeds will go to the Council’s Coats for Kids program at Peru’s primary school. $10 per person, $5 for children 14 and under.



Guided hike and bonfire. 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join a park naturalist to explore the nature trails and observe the flora and fauna in the various habitats of the park. Then join us for a bonfire and s’mores! The length of the walk will be approximately 2 miles on easy trails. All ages and abilities are welcome!



School holiday entertainment. From February 22 to 25. The City of Plattsburgh Recreation Department will be offering free programs to residents during school vacations, including cross-country skiing and snowshoeing lessons at Cadyville Recreation Park on Goddeau Road from 1 to 2:30 p.m. February 2, 23, weather permitting. Ice skating will be offered at AC North Ice Arena from noon to 1 p.m. on February 22 and 23. No registration required. Free for residents of the City of Plattsburgh and Schuyler Falls. Sledding will be offered at Wallace Hill Recreation Park on February 25 from 1-2:30 p.m. Open to residents of Clinton County. Sleds are not provided.



Public dinner. 4:30 p.m. Ticonderoga Masonic Temple, 10 Montcalm St. Tickets: $12 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under. Tickets sold at the door. The Roasted Turkey Breast Dinner is sponsored by members of Mount Defiance Lodge #794, F and AM and Fort Ticonderoga Chapter #263, Order of the Eastern Star. Take away only. Parking for pickup along Montcalm Street and at the Hancock House parking lot.
