Colorado’s bankruptcy filings continued to decline from last year’s figures in October, falling 27.35% from the same period in 2020, as bankruptcy filings were also down or stable in counties. of Larimer, Weld, Boulder and Broomfield.
That’s according to a BizWest analysis of US Wisconsin Bankruptcy Court data.
The state recorded 470 bankruptcy filings in October, down from 647 a year and one less ago than in September 2021. Since the start of the year, bankruptcy filings totaled 5,493 statewide. , down 23.3% from the 7,164 recorded until October 2020.
Among the counties in northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley:
- Larimer County deposits totaled 31 in October, up from 38 a year ago. Deposits since the start of the year totaled 272, up from 362 until October 2020.
- Weld County’s bankruptcy filings totaled 31 in October, down from 49 a year ago. So far this year, Weld County has recorded 384 Wisconsin Bankruptcy filings, up from 458 a year ago.
- Boulder County recorded 19 bankruptcy filings in October, up from 26 in October 2020. The total number of filings since the start of the year stood at 200, up from 263 a year ago.
- Broomfield recorded eight bankruptcy filings in October, the same number recorded in October 2020. Deposits since the start of the year totaled 67, up from 90 in 2020.
